DT

In our teaching of Design and Technology at Ormiston South Parade Academy, we encourage the use of creativity and imagination to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts.

During their DT lessons as OSPA, children acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and draw on disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art.  Children learn how to take risks, becoming resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens throughout the curriculum units.

Subject content covers design, creating, evaluating and technical knowledge, and we follow the DT scheme from Kapow Primary – a comprehensive framework for ensuring high quality DT teaching and learning.
