Steering Group

Elections for the Steering Group are held every October. Candidates must deliver a speech in front of the whole academy to say why they would be an effective council member. Members are then selected via a secret ballot in which all pupils vote.

The ‘Steering Group’ represent their year groups or their pupil leadership group. They work to ensure pupil’s opinions are taken into account and their ideas are listened to.  They act as rights experts and plan events and assemblies throughout the year.  They meet on a half termly basis with Mrs Miles to discuss and implement ideas.
