Year 5/6 Heritage Centre Visit

Y5/6 visited the fantastic Fishing Heritage Centre as part of their History topic: What makes Grimsby Great? They were transported back into the 1950s as they toured the different areas of the museum. Highlights of the exhibit were the morse code room where the pupils sequenced their names; the deckhand’s cabin which showed where trawlermen would sleep; and the galley where the cook would prepare the meals. The pupils also got to explore the current art exhibits which displayed some extremely beautiful paintings and photographs of our local area. A big thanks to Sarah and Bob for a wonderful trip.
